The Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Tour kicked off on 28 April 2025 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, marking a powerful and emotional start. Beyoncé shared the spotlight with her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, in a performance that delighted fans worldwide.
Blue Ivy, now 13, returned with poise and confidence to perform during “America Has a Problem,” while 7-year-old Rumi made her surprise on-stage debut during the song “Protector.” Beyoncé pulled her youngest daughter into a warm hug, creating one of the most heartwarming moments of the night
A star-packed setlist with surprises
The Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Tour features over 35 songs, covering the singer’s latest Grammy-winning album, Cowboy Carter, and fan favourites like “Formation” and “Crazy in Love.” The set also includes renditions of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and The Beatles’ “Blackbird,” showcasing her genre-spanning artistry.
Special guests joined the singer on stage. Post Malone appeared for their duet “Levii’s Jeans,” while Miley Cyrus made a virtual appearance on “II Most Wanted.” Country-rap artist Shaboozey also joined Beyoncé for “Spaghettii.”
Beyoncé’s daughters shine on the Cowboy Carter Stage
The inclusion of Beyoncé’s daughters, in particular, added a personal layer to the Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Tour launch. Blue Ivy’s dance performance drew loud cheers from the crowd, showing her growth since her appearances on the Renaissance World Tour.
Meanwhile, Rumi made a tender debut during “Protector,” wearing a gold sequin dress and cowboy boots. Her cameo, accompanied by the opening sample of her voice, sparked an outpouring of emotion from both the audience and Beyoncé herself.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, took to Instagram to describe the moment as a “full-circle experience,” celebrating three generations of Knowles-Carter women on stage.
