Stellenbosch duo Fawaaz Basadien and Devin Titus, several clubs interested, including Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
Both could have moved in January if they wanted to but, to the delight of Steve Barker, remained committed to Cape Winelands outfit amid serious outsider interest.
Basadien and Titus talks future
Basadien is half a year into his four year contract, meaning one will have to break the bank to lure sign the 28-year-old, who seems settled in Stellenbosch, saying, “I feel like I get this question often [about the future], for me, is controlling what I can control because I’m contracted to Stellenbosch,
“So this is where I’m playing now, my focus has to be here. I don’t have to look and focus on what’s happening outside, for me is just to improve, grow everyday and help the team as much as I can.”
Titus had this to say about his future at Stellenbosch, saying, “I want to be at Stellenbosch Football Club because they gave me an opportunity when no other club gave me an opportunity,
“So once I reach the things I want to reach with the club, then hopefully, I can move over, and I know for a fact that Stellenbosch is not a club that will keep you and hold you back from your dreams.”
Both appear committed to the Stellenbosch project. All the best, boys.
