Al Ahly insider drops Percy Tau to Kaizer Chiefs bombshell!

Percy Tau has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs FC for some time now.

The diminutive Bafana Bafana midfielder will reportedly leave Egyptian giants Al Ahly after a trophy-laden spell at the club.

Tau joined the club in 2021 from English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion in a big-money deal.

Since joining the club, Tau has scored 30 goals and registered 14 more assists for the Egyptian giants while helping them lift a number of trophies as well!

And now, Egyptian media are reporting that Kaizer Chiefs have tabled an offer for the 30-year-old attacker!

According to the latest transfer updates, both Kaizer Chiefs and an anonymous Qatari club have tabled offers for Percy Tau!

“With the mid-season transfer window on the verge of re-opening, it appears that new suitors for Tau have emerged,” a SoccerLaduma report citing Kooora read.

“According to Kooora, one unnamed Qatari side has sent an offer to the Club of the Century for the 46-capped international, but the same report claims that a source from within the Egyptian side has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs have also submitted an offer.”

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has endured a difficult start to life at Naturena.

The Tunisian tactician joined the Glamour Boys with high expectations however things haven’t gone exactly to plan thus far.

Kaizer Chiefs were knocked out of the Carling Knockout Cup by rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in the second round.

Furthermore, Nabi’s side have struggled in the league, picking up just 12 points from their opening 9 matches.

According to the latest reports, Nasreddine Nabi has rejected an approach from Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca as remains committed to Kaizer Chiefs!

“Earlier this week, the Moroccan club’s hierarchy is said to have reached out to Nabi’s management team. However, Nabi’s management team made it clear that he was fully committed to his project at Chiefs,” a FARPost report read.
