Roberts also admitted in the interview that she tried to keep her hair during chemo by practicing the cold cap technique. But her hair fell out three weeks after her first chemo session.

According to the Breast Cancer organisation, the cold cap technique is similar to ice packs. You wear a type of cap with dry ice between 20 or 30 degrees celcius during chemo.

You keep the cold caps in a cooler with dry ice or in a special biomedical freezer before wearing them. Each cap warms up and thaws while you wear it, so you need to replace it with a new cold cap every 20 to 30 minutes during a chemotherapy infusion session.
