American rapper A$AP Rocky leapt into Rihanna’s arms on Tuesday after being found not guilty of two felony charges of assault with a semi-automatic firearm.
According to AP, the rapper was cleared of charges related to firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend, Relli, during a heated altercation in 2021.

Rapper A$AP Rocky is breathing a massive sigh of relief after his not-guilty verdict. As soon as the clerk announced his acquittal, he swiftly jumped into Rihanna, who was sitting in the gallery and embraced her.
This moment brought relief to the American couple after a gruelling three-week trial. The proceedings had taken a significant toll on the rapper’s family life. The couple made their relationship official in 2020 and now have two children.
An emotional Rihanna, who was in tears in court, expressed her gratitude for the court’s ruling.
“The glory belongs to God and to God alone,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thankful, humbled by His mercy.”
A THREE WEEKS LONG TRIAL FINALLY COMES TO AN END
A$AP Rocky was facing accusations of firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend, Relli. The incident allegedly occurred outside the W Hotel in Los Angeles in 2021.
He was then charged with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and one count of personal use of a gun.
A$AP Rocky’s lawyers refuted Relli’s account of the events in their response statement. In November 2021, Relli testified that Rocky had pointed a gun at him and claimed that the rapper later fired shots, one of which grazed his knuckles.
If convicted, A$AP Rocky could have faced up to 24 years in prison. However, he rejected a plea deal offering six months behind bars just days before the trial.
