Mamelodi Sundowns have beaten Kaizer Chiefs and FIVE other PSL teams to the signature of another promising teenage footballer.
Sechaba Gaseitsiwe has officially joined Sundowns after catching the eye of their scouts during the 2024 Engen Champ of Champs.
Gaseitsiwe, 17, is joining the Brazilians from Northern Cape amateur side Galeshewe Stars. He hails from the same province.
And he will go straight and play in the Sundowns’ DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) team where he is expected to continue his development.
According to FARPost, Gaseitsiwe was wanted by six PSL teams, namely, Chiefs, Cape Town City FC, Sekhukhune United, TS Galaxy, Orlando Pirates, and Stellenbosch FC.
This is NOT the first time that Sundowns sign a promising teenager right under the noses of their PSL rivals.
Just last week, The South African website reported how Kutlwano Letlhaku almost joined Chiefs before deciding to move to Sundowns.
Now, the publication interviewed Gaseitsiwe’s agent Nduvho Munyai of P Management on the 17-year-old’s latest success.
SUNDOWNS SIGN ANOTHER PROMISING TEENAGER
“The boy is a very special talent, one of the top players in his age group. He is a raw talent that comes from the Northern Cape,” said Munyai.
“Another thing is that he has been in a very good set-up in Galeshewe Stars.”
