Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo predicts Kaizer Chiefs to beat Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
The two teams face off in the quarter-final of the Carling Knockout Cup this Saturday evening at the FNB Stadium. The Brazilians won the first encounter when the teams played each other in September.
Khuzwayo says despite Chiefs losing the first encounter, Nasreddine Nabi’s men will bounce back and knock Sundowns out of the competition.
“I’m going to go with my team, to be honest. Do you know the motto that says “Ikhosi Ali Pheli U Moya”? (Amakhosi do not give up), I’m going with my team because I believe they are very strong this season,” Khuzwayo told GOAL.
“There is confidence from the players. The coach (Nasreddine Nabi) has brought something unique and players are buying into his style. Even in the game that we lost against Sundowns lately, you could see that Downs were pulling back.”

“Towards the end of the game, you could see a strong side of Kaizer Chiefs, which tells you that they can win this game,” he added.
The retired keeper said that based on the last match, Chiefs showed that they could match Sundowns.
“I give them this one, yes it is going to be a very difficult match but after the final whistle, Chiefs will go on to the semi-finals,” he said.
Khuzwayo played for both Chiefs and Pirates but was unable to make an official appearance for the Buccaneers due to an injury that forced him to retire.
