Kaizer Chiefs players are in ore-season mode but the management is working behind the scenes to bring in more players.

Amakhosi have already signed six players but judging but their first pre-season match, the club still need a few more players. Their 2-1 loss to Dutch outfit outlines some of the problems the clun experienced last season.

In terms of attack and defence, Kaizer Chiefs still lack. They have signed two midfielders but with Thabo Cele operating well in that position, one feels the club should put their resources into other positions.

With over a month left before Amakhosi start their 2025/26 campaign, there’s still plenty of players to scout.

Which players can Kaizer Chiefs sign?

Jaedin Rhodes is one of the most wanted players in the PSL following Cape Town City’s shock relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship. The 22-year-old is in demand and has attracted interest from rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

According to SABC, Stellenboschdefender Thabo Moloisane is a free agent.

“Yes, this is our last dance so to speak. Thabo has had an incredible stint at Stellenbosch FC and enjoyed quite a number of milestones with the club, including being called up to Bafana Bafana,” explained agent Karabo Tshabuse.

Kaizer Chiefs looking for free agents?

“With that in mind, there were discussions for a contract extension, which was tabled for him to continue playing there beyond just next season. But we could not find each other – so this will be Thabo’s final year at the club,” he said as per SABC Sport.

According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs have parted ways with Edson Castillo. The South American is not part of the squad that travelled to the Netherlands last week.
