GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World in Cape Town will be getting an upgrade, in the form of a new shopping mall.
As reported by BusinessTech, Flanagan & Gerard Group, in partnership with Sun International, will be behind the development of the new R600 million mall.
The project has already drawn the interest of over 100 national, regional and local retailers.
Construction of the new 22 000m² shopping mall is scheduled to begin in September this year, with the official opening planned for March 2027.
The new single-level mall will link into GrandWest’s redeveloped children’s entertainment area to add to family appeal, and will also include around 60 new stores.
Some features of the new shopping centre will include two grocers, two pharmacies, as well as a variety of specialist food retailers. There will also be fashion, health, beauty and athleisure retail options.
New restaurants will also be added to the existing range of family-friendly offerings at GrandWest.
Will this new development add to the appeal of GrandWest?
