Sead Ramovic has questioned the league’s scheduling after TS Galaxy’s tough start, as the team is facing a relentless run of away fixtures that has left the coach baffled and frustrated.
The Rocket suffered their fourth defeat of the 2024/25 season after losing 2-0 against Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday night.
Pirates scored one goal in each half from Thalente Mbatha and midfield sensation Relebohile Mofokeng. The win was the Soweto giants’ sixth successive in the league since the start of the new season. They are sitting at the top of the log standings with 18 points with a six-point lead to second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns.
On the other hand, Galaxy are yet to register a win in the Premiership after losing four games and drawing one in five matches played.
The Mpumalanga-based outfit lost to Richards Bay FC, SuperSport United, Chippa United, and Orlando Pirates and drew against Marumo Gallants. The dismal start to the campaign has left Galaxy languishing at the basement of the league table with just one point.
RAMOVIC PUZZLED BY SEVEN GALAXY MATCHES AWAY FROM HOME
With TS Galaxy struggling to collect maximum points, the outspoken coach, Sead Ramovic, has expressed his shock at playing more of their matches away from home. The Tim Sukazi-owned team has played four of their five league games away from home, and their next three fixtures are on the road.
“I have to see if that was not a penalty for us in the first-half. Maybe it’s a penalty, I have to see from my side but it looks like it was, I know the standard of the referees is not high enough,” Ramovic said on SuperSport TV.
“So there’s no point talking about it; we just have to look at ourselves. Yes we are in a difficult situation also I’ve seen that we have to play seven away games out of eight. I’ve never seen this in any other league, but it’s okay. We’ll take these away games, and we’ll collect points.”
The 2019 Nedbank Cup champions will switch their focus to the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals against Magesi FC on Sunday 03 November 2024, kickoff is at 15h00.
