Selena Gomez showed support for Hailey Bieber, the wife of her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, after a rather awkward moment on social media.
Hailey Bieber is having a moment, as she just landed her first Vogue magazine cover. The model also announced a major partnership between her skincare brand, Rhode, and global beauty giant Sephora.
HAILEY BIEBER’S VOGUE COVER
For context, Sephora’s shelves are already graced by Selena’s ‘Rare Beauty’ line. Now, both women’s products will share space.
But just as Hailey was basking in her success, Justin Bieber decided to “celebrate” his wife’s achievements with a post that left fans cringing.
He shared Hailey’s Vogue cover on Instagram, but the caption was less than flattering: “Yo, this reminds me [of] when Hailey and I got into a huge fight.
I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes. I know, so mean.”
JUSTIN FACES BACKLASH FROM FANS
Fans were quick to pounce with one commenting, “Justin, idk if this is how you say congrats to your wife lol.”
Another said, “Who needs enemies when they have a husband like you?” The backlash was so intense that Justin edited his caption to a string of emojis—classic damage control.
SELENA GOMEZ SHOWS SOLIDARITY
Enter Selena Gomez. Instead of adding fuel to the fire, she simply liked Sephora’s Instagram post about Rhode’s new partnership.
It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes. As one fan put it, “Selena’s class is unmatched.”
A source close to the Biebers told the Daily Mail, “Hailey has been mad at him plenty of times, and it will happen again and again.
Hailey Bieber comes around and forgives him.” Their relationship, the source added, is ‘like Romeo and Juliet—without the morbid ending.”
FEUD RUMOURS
Selena and Hailey have tried to put feud rumours to rest before, even posing together at a Hollywood gala.
But as this latest episode shows, the world is always watching. As Selena once said, “What interests me is cultivating beauty from the inside.” As one witty fan commented, “Love Justin, but FREE HAILEY!”
