Riveiro on his next club after Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates have said goodbye to coach Jose Riveiro with a 3-0 win over Golden Arrows in Soweto on Tuesday.

After a glittering three years with three consecutive MTN8 titles, two Nedbank Cups, and two second-place finishes in the Betway Premiership, Orlando Pirates have said goodbye to the soft-spoken Spaniard.

When asked which team he will join next, Riveiro said the media would have to wait for his new club to make the announcement.

“I cannot tell you if it is not announced, I cannot tell you,” said Riveiro to reporters on Tuesday.

“I have this confidentiality thing. So it is not my role, my responsibility to announce, but I think it is going to be very soon,” Riveiro, now officially a former Orlando Pirates coach, added.

“But moving to a different place is not easy… this move is an opportunity to challenge myself, to test myself. I’m not really thinking about what the outcome is going to be; the intention is to fight for the best as usual, but let’s see,” Riveiro concluded.
