Kaizer Chiefs captain Yusuf Maart has appreciated the club’s supporters’ loyalty through the trying times.
YUSUF MAART SAYS THANK YOU TO KAIZER CHIEFS SUPPORTERS
The 29-year-old from Atlantis, Western Cape, scored the winner in a 2-1 victory against Orlando Pirates to end the club’s decade without silverware.
According to Maart, the fans provided unwavering support throughout the season. Despite facing challenges on the field, Maart emphasised the importance of the fans’ encouragement in motivating the team to strive for excellence.
“Firstly, we praise the almighty, and for my teammates, technical team and supporters who always stand behind us going through difficult times,” the Kaizer Chiefs Man of the Match said during the live interview on SuperSport TV.
“But we couldn’t do it without those supporters, our teammates with one spirit, one love, character, and I’m grateful.
“I’m both feet at the end of the day so no matter how it came, I just put my eyes on the ball and just said ‘bishmillah’ and I just kicked…goal,” the Kaizer Chiefs skipper concluded.
