Like many South Africans, Siya Kolisi – as well as the rest of the Sharks squad – are taking sides between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup Final in Durban on Saturday, 10 May.

The highly anticipated game takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

SIYA KOLISI SHADES ORLANDO PIRATES

In a light-hearted social media post, Sharks players were asked which side they are backing to win the Nedbank Cup between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The biggest star of the squad – Siya Kolisi, who is also the Springboks captain – revealed that he was a firm Amakhosi fan. The rugby star went as far as calling Orlando Pirates “rubbish” when interrupting Aphele Fassi, who is a staunch Buccaneers supporter.

Siya also rattled off about why he thought his team was the best to win. Apehele, on the other hand, gave a shout-out to “President of Ama2000”, player Relebogile Mofokeng.

SHARKS PLAYERS SUPPORTING KAIZER CHIEFS

Also supporting Kaizer Chiefs were players like Phepsi Buthelezi, Emmanuel Tshituka, and Ntuthuko Mchunu.

Refusing to side with either Orlando Pirates or Amakosi, Siya Masuka hilariously added: “I don’t support k*k teams”.
