Royal AM claimed their first victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, while TS Galaxy and Stellenbosch FC dropped points following draws.
Royal AM edged Sekhukhune United 2-0 at Harry Gwala Stadium, whilst Galaxy played out to a 1-1 draw against 10-man Marumo Gallants. In another match, 10-man Stellenbosch and Richards Bay FC shared the spoils after a 0-0 draw at King Zwelithini Stadium.
ROYAL AM SECURES FIRST VICTORY IN THE 2024/25 CAMPAIGN
The victory over Babina Noko was Royal AM’s first in the current campaign. Ayanda Jiyane opened the scoring just before half time and  Sera Motebang doubled the scoreline just after the break in the 49th minute.
In six matches in all competitions, Thwihli Thwahla has registered one victory, and four draws and suffered two defeats. The KZN-based side’s struggles this season have been due to their FIFA ban on striker Samir Nurkovic’s issue.
The defeat left Sekhukhune without a victory in the last two matches. Last time out, they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Richards Bay in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals.
TS GALAXY STILL WITHOUT A VICTORY IN THE LEAGUE
The 1-1 draw against 10-man Marumo Gallants left the Rockets still without a victory in the Betway Premiership. Edgar Manaka was shown a red card in the 42nd minute. Samukelo Kabini was on target for Galaxy, whilst Xola Mlambo found the back of the net for Gallants to salvage a point.
 After four league matches, Galaxy are in an unfamiliar position: 15th. They have accumulated one point following a draw and three defeats.
10-MAN STELLENBOSCH SHARE SPOILS WITH RICHARDS BAY FC
The Cape Winelands side were held to a 0-0 draw away from home by Richards Bay FC. Bafana Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams was shown a red card in the 83rd minute.
The stalemate left the Stellies third on the log standings, with eight points, while Richards Bay are 10thwith five points. Both teams have played five matches in the league.
