Abdul Khoza steps away from acting
Award-winning actor Abdul Khoza has opened up about his decision to walk away from acting, revealing that he’s officially stepped back from the industry after years of captivating audiences on screen.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Khoza shared a video of what he says was one of his final auditions before making the difficult decision to quit acting.
“So I decided to share one of my last auditions that I did this year before I decided to simply quit acting,” he wrote in the caption.
The video offers a rare glimpse behind the scenes, showing Khoza’s self-tape audition process—a routine that’s often hidden from public view.
By posting the clip, he hopes to give aspiring actors a realistic look at what it takes to land a role.
“This is a way for me to show those who still wish to pursue a career in Acting that we all go through the audition processes. For an actor to get a role they are required to audition and this is my last selftape. I hope that it gives you a better understanding of the process and how we do it,” he shared.
The actor also gave a nod to those who supported him throughout his career, including the friend who assisted him with the audition.
“Thank you to @spholaricky for reading this with me,” he wrote.
In a moving sign-off, Khoza expressed his gratitude to the fans who have followed his journey.
