Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly preparing to offload a first-team winger as part of their squad overhaul.

Chiefs have struggled for consistency in their maiden season under new coach Nasreddine Nabi.

The Glamour Boys face the real possibility of finishing outside of the league’s top eight.

Their latest derby loss puts Nabi under immense pressure to lift the Nedbank Cup final next season.

Failure to beat rivals Orlando Pirates to the trophy will result in yet another written-off season at Naturena.

According to the latest transfer gossip, the Glamour Boys are set to place 31-year-old winger Tebogo Potsane on their transfer list.

Potsane joined Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of last season from Royal.

The skillful winger however has struggled to make his mark at Naturena. He’s made just 19 appearances in total for the club, registering two assists.

“Its believed that it won’t be a direct release. They will put him on the transfer list and see if there are interested teams, of which it means they have to sell him,” an insider at Kaizer Chiefs told KickOff regarding Potsane.

“They don’t want to let him go for free and that’s why he is believed to be put on transfer list. The difference with Tebogo from other players who are set to be released is that he still has one year on his contract and the team wants to cash in on him rather than release him for free.”
