‘Elon Musk will never come and open his business in SA’ – Malema

Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) leader Julius Malema has once again hit back at South African-born tech billionaire Elon Musk.

In recent months, Musk has been vocal about South African politics, including expressing his opposition to the Expropriation Act. The world’s richest man from Pretoria said in February that Malema should be declared an international criminal.

Addressing the crowd at the Sports Facility in Majwemasweu, Brandfort, Free State, Malema said Musk’s Starlink should only operate in South Africa if 30% is owned by historically disadvantaged groups.

“Comrades, when we take over this country, there will never be a so-called unemployed doctor. How can you be an unemployed doctor after going to school for seven years?

“Fighters, we want every businessman to have an opportunity in Free State – not only the politically connected. Elon Musk will never come and open his business here in South Africa as long as he doesn’t surrender 30% to the South Africans,” Malema said.

Last year, the EFF leader clashed with Musk after the billionaire accused the former ANC youth president of inciting genocide over the chant ‘Kill the Boer’.

‘’Why must I educate Elon Musk? He looks illiterate; the only thing that protects him is his white skin. Elon Musk wants to learn about this song; the records are there in court. Let him go read the judgment. Let him go listen to my arguments in court,’’ Malema said.
