Orlando Pirates have AmaZulu forward Tshepang Moremi in their sights.

Hailing from Sharpeville, the 24-year-old winger has made a name for himself in Durban as the lead protagonist for uSuthu with nine goals and assists this season.

Moremi, whose contract expires on June 30, has remained reluctant to sign an extension, boosting Orlando Pirates’ chances of getting a deal over the line.

“The club is also keen to sign Moremi for next season, and negotiations have already started,” Kick Off confirmed.

Jose Riveiro: In or out?

Jose Riveiro has yet to confirm his future to Orlando Pirates following months of speculation. Like Moremi, the Spanish-born native’s contract runs out at the end of the season.

“There is an offer for the coach to continue for another three years, but he has asked to wait until the end of the season. His main wish is to win the league, and if that happens, he may leave because he misses home,” a source said.

“The league title may decide the coach’s future. That’s what’s believed as things stand,

“Nothing has been agreed upon because the coach hasn’t made up his mind. He has made it clear that he misses home and family. And will only consider his future at the end of the season. However, the club has already opened talks with his representatives, hoping for the best outcome.”

The Orlando Pirates boss has won five titles in three years, making him one of the most successful managers in the clubs history. Whatever the decision, he will go down as one of the Soweto giant’s greatest coaches.
