The Department of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has confirmed the official fuel price adjustments that will take effect at midnight on Tuesday, 1 April 2025.

March saw a drop in global oil prices as markets reacted to US President Donald Trump’s tariffs and trade wars.
In addition, the rand held firm amid the shocks.
This translated to a sizeable – and welcome – cut in fuel prices in April.
Prices will be cut by 58and 72 cents per litrefor 93and 95 petrol, respectively, and between 84and 86 cents per litrefor diesel.

At the time of publishing the rand/dollar exchange rate is R18.35/$.
