Doja Cat’s fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as she is coming to Mzansi to headline the highly anticipated Hey Neighbour Festival 2025.
DOJA CAT TO PERFORM IN MZANSI IN AUGUST
The cat is finally out of the bag! Doja Cat, known for her genre-defying sound and chart-topping hits like “Say So” and “Paint the Town Red,” will headline the Hey Neighbour Festival, marking her first appearance in Mzansi.
The exciting news was revealed today by the festival organisers in a statement. The Grammy Award-winning pop star whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, is the first headliner to be announced for the second edition of the music and lifestyle festival.
The much-awaited festival will take place at the Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria from August 29 to 31, 2025.
“We are beyond excited to welcome Doja Cat to the Hey Neighbour festival stage,” said Glen Netshipise, CEO for the event.
“Her energy, creativity, and ability to connect with audiences on a global scale make her the perfect artist to kick off what will be an epic festival line-up. This is just the beginning — we have more incredible acts to reveal soon.”
THE STAR REVEALS SHE HAS NEVER BEEN TO SOUTH AFRICA
Doja Cat’s father is South African actor Dumisani Dlamini, however, they have never met in person. Last year, she revealed that she had never visited South Africa and spoke about her global career.
When asked if she had been to South Africa, she responded.
“I still haven’t. I rely on my career to just throw me out to places,” she toldUS broadcaster Ebro Darden’s on his ‘Apple Music 1’ show.
