Beyoncé and Jay-Z are reportedly weighing legal action against Kanye West after he hurled a shocking insult at their seven-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.
The rapper-turned-Ye sparked outrage with a since-deleted X post. The power couple deemed the post “vulgar and offensive”.
West’s original post read: “I SAID JAY Z AND BEYONCES KIDS ARE RETARDED. LETS MAKE THE HOT WATER BOILING HOT OR LIKE PEOPLE SAY BROILING HOT”.
He showed no remorse, admitting he deleted it only to avoid a platform ban, according to the Daily Mail.
JAY-Z AND BEYONCÉ KIDS
A source close to the Carters told Page Six: “Jay-Z will not stand for how West has spoken about their children”.
The couple, fiercely protective of their twins’ privacy, have kept Rumi and Sir largely out of the spotlight since their 2017 birth.
Unlike their eldest daughter Blue Ivy, who recently joined Beyoncé on stage at the Grammys, the twins have never appeared at major events.
NORMALCY OVER FAME
Beyoncé has stressed her desire to shield them from the “performance art” of celebrity life, prioritising normalcy over fame.
A source revealed that Kim Kardashianis “appalled” by Kanye West’s remarks and is done trying to mediate, according to Pink Villa.
Kids are off-limits, no matter the feud”. This isn’t West’s first public clash with the Carters. In 2016, he accused Beyoncé of rigging a VMA win, leaving Jay-Z “infuriated”.
A CASE OF DEFAMATION?
While the couple has no plans to address the incident publicly, insiders confirm they’re exploring “private and/or legal” avenues.
Their legal team is likely scrutinising whether West’s remarks cross into defamation or emotional distress territory, according to Hollywood Unlocked.
West’s erratic behaviour has long strained his relationships with former allies. In 2022, he faced backlash for antisemitic remarks, and recently sparked outrage by selling swastika-emblazoned T-shirts.
His 2022 interview with Candace Owens – where he suggested Beyoncé should “let Jay-Z go get some p***y” – left even the conservative commentator speechless.
KANYE WEST AND PUBLIC FEUDS
Beyoncé has fiercely guarded her twins’ privacy, sharing only glimpses in documentaries like Homecoming.
Grandparents Tina and Mathew Knowles have described Sir as “laid back” and Rumi as a budding artist.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z aren’t known for public feuds, but West’s attack on their children has crossed a line. As one insider said, “They’ll handle this quietly, but fiercely”.
