Veteran artist Sizwe Alakine, formerly known as Reason has been hailed the hero of the week after paying the Piano Pulse set a visit to defend his girlfriend Gigi Lamayne after they claimed he downgraded from his ex, Loot Love.
The podcast and Chill Network’s Piano Pulse have quickly become the talk of the town across various social media platforms as users debrief their latest episode. The episode was characterised by a surprise visit from Sizwe Moeketsi aka Sizwe Alakine, who had bones to pick with the podcast hosts Sifiso, Munaka, and Tshakgi for the unsavoury and problematic comparisons they made between his ex-girlfriend Loot Love and current girlfriend Gigi Lamayne.
Without wasting any time, Sizwe asks the panel to elaborate on their comments regarding Gigi. He questions how, as people with the platform they have, they quantify what qualifies as a downgrade. According to Sizwe, Piano Pulse’s statement is baseless and inaccurate it is not based on any facts or statistics, but rather their own opinion, which he deems problematic.
I dare someone to pull this on MacG and Sol Phenduka 😂😂😂

As the episode continued, tensions escalated immensley as Thakgi was not willing to back down, but rather opted to double down and defend his and Sifiso’s stance. However, the rapper was not having it as he went on a lengthy rant reiterating how problematic it is for platforms responsible for imparting knowledge on the public to avoid making certain comments as they can be damaging and dangerous not only for the public figures they take jabs at, but also the people at home that feel represented by them.
This episode has garnered an overwhelming amount of attention and has seen social media users commending Sizwe for quickly dealing with the matter and speaking up for Gigi. These users have labelled him the boyfriend of the year, and have highlighted how such a noble act is the opposite of what we have come to get used to from celebrities of his stature. Taking to X(formerly Twitter), Gigi also joined in on the bandwagon with her own post hailing her man as a hero.
oh sizwe the man that you are. gigi, mnike lonke tonight mfazi.

Sizwe Alkaline is standing up for his partner while also showing respect to his ex partner.
Men have normalised disrespecting women in the presence of each other so much that they feel entitled to do it openly.
Sfiso and Thakgi were out of order.
Left ya maatla is necessary.

We need more men checking other men for the objectifying way they speak about women.
Sizwe is a real man. https://t.co/MDTp1zsYOC
