Mamelodi Sundowns star Lucas Ribeiro Costa has again demonstrated that he is simply PSL’s best player.
On Wednesday, the league officially announced Ribeiro Costa as the standout player for the month of February.
During that period, the Brazilian left-footer featured in seven Betway Premiership matches for Sundowns.
He netted FIVE times and registered THREE assists in those seven outings for the Tshwane giants.
Ribeiro Costa’s goal contributions saw Sundowns maintain their position at the summit of the league standings.
This is the second time that the speedy left-footer wins the league’s monthly award after doing so for September/October.
Overall, Ribeiro Costa has scored 12 league goals for Sundowns, and he tops the PSL goalscoring charts.
And while he is a strong contender for the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award, Ribeiro Costa is among those vying for the Footballer of the Season gong.
In addition, Sundowns scored a record 22 goals in the league during the month of February alone.

Meanwhile, the Player of the Month award was not the only one Ribeiro Costa received from the PSL.
His goal against Orlando Pirates at Loftus Versfeld Stadium was also voted the best for the month of February.
Ribeiro Costa ran from his own half, taking on four Pirates players all the way to their own penalty box before scoring.
It was dubbed one of the most beautiful goals in the history of the league, and certainly a strong contender for Goal of the Season award.
