Kourtney Kardashian’s reaction to the rumours
For a while now, there has been a viral rumour claiming that Kourtney Kardashian’s son, Mason, have a baby. The rumour, first shared on Reddit, quickly gained traction before the post was deleted, with media outlets like The Daily Mail reporting on it.
The Kardashians remained silent for a while, until Kourtney had to defend her son in a statement she shared on her Instagram story.
Kourtney Kardashian’s statement, as reported by PEOPLE, read:
“I rarely address rumours or conspiracies regarding myself or my family, but this is about my child and it feels wrong to let anyone think for a second that these lies are remotely true. They are not. Mason does not have a child.”
Kourtney Kardashian defending her kids’ privacy
Kourtney also emphasised her commitment to protecting her children’s privacy in the statement, urging media outlets to respect their boundaries.
“My son really values his privacy, and I am asking all media to please be respectful: he is a kid with feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him,” she wrote.
In addition to defending Mason’s privacy, Kourtney urged people to ‘stop spreading false narratives and spinning lies,’ calling for greater respect for her children
At the end of her statement, she made one final plea including all of her kids and not just Mason.
“And to all the other people making videos about my kids (who, by the way, are minors), please stop and leave them alone,” she concluded.
Kourtney Kardashian’s defense of her son’s privacy comes after he stayed away from the media in recent years. He has also stopped appearing in The Kardashians.
In recent months, Mason has made a rare return to the public eye, launching his own Instagram account in May 2024. His account only has five posts, and he hasn’t posted any new posts since 2024.
Mason having an Instagram account made Kourtney clarify that there are a lot of fake accounts claiming to be her son.
“These accounts that pretend to be him are definitely not. They are FAKE,” she wrote in her statement.
The Kardashians reacting to Mason’s first post
Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian have left comments on Mason’s first Instagram post where they showed their excitement for him joining social media.
“My first baby,” his mother wrote with an emoji.
On the other hand, Khole’s comment was “I can’t believe this is happening,” which is in reference to Mason finally starting an Instagram account.
Kim had a similar reaction to that of Khloe as she also wrote “You’re really on Instagram.”
Kourtney Kardashian makes sure to defend her kids
Fans noted that Kourtney rarely addresses rumours, preferring to keep speculation about her life private.
However, her statement made it clear that she won’t allow rumours to spread about her kids.
In addition to Mason, Kourtney is also a mother to Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10. Kourtney shares the three of them with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
She also has a baby named Rocky Thirteen whom she shares with her current husband Travis Barker. Kourtney recently shared adorable photos of her one-year-old son, Rocky, on her social media accounts.
