Orlando Pirates are eyeing Hungry Lions forward Muzomuhle Khanyi. The 25-year-old has been nothing short of prolific this season, scoring sixteen in eighteen games.

According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs are also in the hunt for the former Cape Umoya United man.

“Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have joined Orlando Pirates in showing interest in Hungry Lions striker Muzomuhle Khanyi, the leading goalscorer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship,” a source revealed.

“His impressive performances have attracted attention from topflight clubs, with both Chiefs and Pirates now closely monitoring his situation. Pirates have been keeping tabs on Khanyi since the first half of the season, hoping to secure his signature before other clubs enter the race.”

Rhodes inbound?

Cape Town City youngster Jaedin Rhodes is another potent player Orlando Pirates are monitoring, and apparently tried to sign the 21-year-old in January.

“He [Rhodes] has been one of their [Pirates] targets for some time now,” a source confirmed.

“They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period.

“Now that it didn’t happen they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you.”

A second source said, “obviously, they (Pirates) will either loan some out or release some as well. But that’s the time they need to work on their squad and since it didn’t happen in January then they will work on it in the off season. Rhodes is one player on that list already.“

Who should Orlando Pirates prioritise? Khanyi or Rhodes?
