Orlando Pirates have entered the race for youngster Samukelo Kabini.

At the tender age of twenty, the TS Galaxy defender has become a regular starter, guiding his side to fourth on the log, levelled on points with Sekhukhune United and Kaizer Chiefs.

Kabini to Pirates?

According to reports, Orlando Pirates are favourites to land the youngster, albeit being the last to show interest.

“He [Kabini] is a player that Pirates are monitoring closely and so far, he has impressed,” a source revealed.

“Don’t rule out the possibility of [Pirates] making an official approach at the end of the season.”

Maswanganyi to Europe?

Orlando Pirates magician Patrick Maswanganyi is rumoured to be keen on a return to Europe, and has former club UD Oliveirense enquiring for his serviced.

“it’s no longer just about an inquiry, it’s about negotiations now,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“They really want him back in Portugal. They are looking at the progress he has made and they are happy to bring him back to Portugal. It will all depend on what Orlando Pirates are looking at or if UD Oliveirense can afford what Pirates will be asking for Maswanganyi,” they added.

“The only issue that is there now is the R40 million that the club has put on Maswanganyi’s head. You know he is one of the best players now in the country and if the club wants that amount then UD Oliveirense should meet or make it even better than that. But since they are believed to have opened up negotiations then it will all depend on their offer that they table to Pirates.”
