Sello Sebotsane apologises to Shoki for abuse

Seasoned actor Sello Sebotsane has publicly apologised for the abuse he caused during his marriage to actress Shoki Mmola.

The couple’s tumultuous marriage ended amid abuse allegations, with Shoki openly sharing her experiences of the abuse she sufferedover the years.

Actor Sello Sebotsane has finally taken responsibility for his past abuse by apologising to his ex-wife, Shoki Mmola, and their two children, Karabo and Oratile.

During an appearance on the King David Studio Podcast, Shoki shared that there were red flags in their marriage well before the abuse began.

The former Skeem Saam actress accused Sebotsane of assaulting her, choking her, and hitting her.

Sebotsane shared a video on his TikTok account apologising to the actress and taking accountability for his actions.

In his heartfelt apology, the veteran actor expressed regret for his role in hurting and harming his family.

“I am deeply sorry. I know words cannot mend what is broken, but I am working on myself,” he said.

‘LET’S MAKE THINGS RIGHT’

The Kings of Jo’burgstar said he looks forward to working with young people to help stop the scourge of violence.

“With violence, we go nowhere. It’s not the answer; it is not right,” he added.

He also sent a message to young boys and men, saying, “Let it out, let’s learn to speak, be vulnerable. Someone out there will see and understand your pain and help make you feel better.”

He further expressed gratitude to his fans for standing by him and apologised to those he disappointed.

“I am sorry, and I don’t want to justify anything. I was wrong, and let’s make things right,” he said.
