Trump to finally have an airport named after him?
If all goes according to plan, Washington Dulles International Airport could soon be called the Donald J. Trump International Airport.
According to recent reports, a bill introduced by Republican Congressman, Addison McDowell, has proposed that the major Washington hub be named after the current president.
“We have entered the Golden Age of America thanks to President @realDonaldTrump’s leadership. It is only right that the two airports servicing our nation’s capital are duly honored and respected by two of the best presidents this country has seen.” McDowell said in a post on X.
The bill has been referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee for further consideration, after which, if successful, will move to the Senate for approval.
Dulles International
Washington Dulles International Airport is one of the current major airports serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and was designed to accommodate the region’s growing air traffic needs in the mid-20th century.
The airport serves as a major hub for United Airlines and handles millions of passengers annually.
Do you think the name change will actually happen?
