American rapper Kanye West revealed that he was diagnosed with autism and shared how his wife, Bianca Censori has helped him, in a conversation with Justin Laboy on The Download podcast.
KANYE WEST REVEALS AUTISM DIAGNOSIS
Gold Digger hitmaker Kanye West, who changed his name to Ye, revealed that he was previously misdiagnosed with a bipolar disorder. Kanye sat down with Justin Laboy on The Download podcast to chat about how his wife has helped him.
The rapper revealed that his wife told him she does not feel he is bipolar.
“I went to this doctor … My wife took me to do that because she said, ‘Something about your personality doesn’t feel like it’s bipolar, I’ve seen bipolar before.’ And I’ve come to find that it’s really a case of autism that I have,” he said.
Kanye then explained that the diagnosis helped him better understand himself.
“Autism takes you to a ‘Rain Man’ thing. When people tell you to not do it, you just get on that one point. And that’s my problem,” he said.
“When fans tell me to do my album a certain way, I’ll do it the opposite way,” he continued.
“It’s so difficult for them, because this is like a grown man – you can’t take control of his bank account, you can’t control what I’m saying on Twitter,” he added.

This comes as Kanye and his wife Bianca have been trending following the Grammy Awards on Sunday 2 February, which was held at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles. Bianca made her red carpet debut in a long black coat, which she then removed to reveal a completely see-through dress. The dress appeared to have been designed from sheer stockings, which left very little to the imagination. She paired the dress with clear heels and no jewellery. Reports claimed that the pair were escorted out of the Grammys. However, other reports claimed that they were invited guests and left on their own.
Kanye has since said that his wife is the most Googled person on Earth.
“FOR CLARITY. FEBRUARY 4TH 2025. MY WIFE IS THE MOST GOOGLED PERSON ON THE PLANET CALLED EARTH,” she wrote.
Kanye married Bianca in 2023 following his divorce from American reality star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian in November 2022. Kim reportedly filed for divorce in 2021 and the divorce was only finalised in 2022.
Kim and Kanye were married for six years and have four children together – North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (6) and Psalm (5).
