Who is Cedric Kaze?
Burundian coach Cedric Kaze quickly became a top candidate to work alongside head coach Nasreddine Nabi as his new assistant. The pair know each other well after working together for Yanga SC. Kaze is the former Burundi National Team coach and has worked with the U17s, U20s and U23s, as well as spending over two years with FC Barcelona’s youth sides. He advocates a meticulous approach to planning, analysis and tactics. He’s also fluent in six languages, namely French, Kirundi, Kiswahili, English, German, and Spanish.
Chivaviro walking away from South Africa?
Zimbabwe national team coach Michael Nees is monitoring Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro who’s eligible to play for The Warriors. This is according to SABC Sport.
Chivaviro was born in Limpopo to a Zimbabwean father and a South African mother so he’s eligible for both but must choose carefully as his first choice will be a permanent one. Nees’s Zimbabwe side comfortably beat Namibia 3-0 in a recent qualifier with Walter Musona bagging a brace.
Kaizer Chiefs teenagers causing a stir
Amakhosi’s technical team have uncovered another gem. His name is Royce Malatji and he seems to be a player capable of playing several positions. The most talented youngsters often can. With a name like Royce, perhaps he’s destined for the top.
“He is just 16 years old but he is very good. He can play at right back, central defence, right-wing or even as a central midfielder. It doesn’t matter where he plays – he is just good!,” the Siya crew stated on SoccerLaduma. Meanwhile, 19-year-old midfield maestro Manqoba Ozoemena could leave the club on loan in January. Manager Nasreddine Nabi has high hopes for him.
