Springbok and Sharks star Trevor Nyakane has posted clips of him working on an expansive vineyard, fuelling rumours he may be pursuing his own winery.
The rugby prop is already an avid gin connoisseur and has his own self-titled brand.
TREVOR NYAKANE SHOWS OFF VINEYARD?
In an Instagram post, Springbok Trevor Nyakane shared a video of him riding a tractor on an expansive vineyard in the Cape Winelands. “Harvesting some grapes”, the Springbok and Sharks player boasted.
In another clip, Trevor showed the public how much fruit the specialist machinery – he nicknamed “Optimus Prime”- had accumulated.
Under the post, followers responded to the video with comments like “Trevor’s farm” and “Die baas van die plaas”.
Its unclear if Trevor was visiting the wine farm or is pursuing a business venture.
SPRINGBOK’S SIDE HUSTLES
Like many Springbok Po, Trevor Nyakane has used his public status to pursue several side hustles.
One of them is his own brand of gin, Nyakane Gin. According to The Noblex, the player known for his dance moves developed the alcoholic beverage as a “lockdown hobby.”
According to its site, the gin is a “celebration of heritage, determination, and flavour” and partially reflects the “sun-kissed slopes of the Cape Winelands.”
The gin is manufactured in the award-winning craft distillery called The Noble Experience.
Trevor Nyakane is also a brand ambassador for sports brand Puma, network Melon Mobile, and luxury car brand, Land Rover.
