This necessary upgrade will help computer owners to continue receiving security and software updates. Here’s how you can get your computer running on Windows 11 for free.

HOW TO UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 11 FOR FREE?
A statement released earlier this month informed Windows 10 users of the free upgrade. It read: “Windows 11, version 24H2, also known as the Windows 11 2024 Update, is now broadly available.
“Starting this week, we are expanding this latest Windows version’s phased rollout. We are gradually offering this update also to eligible devices running Windows 10, version 22H2.”
According to Microsoft, PCs that can upgrade to Windows 11 must have Windows 10 with a 2004 or later version. Here’s how to do it.
STEP ONE
Click on the Start button then select Settings
STEP TWO
Select Update and Security
STEP THREE
Select Check for Updates to know if your PC is compatible with Windows 11 or of it’s ready for an upgrade. If it’s compatible and ready it will show the option to Download and Install Windows 11.
The statement further said: “Devices running Home and Pro editions of Windows 11, versions 23H2 and 22H2 that are not managed by IT departments will receive the update automatically.
“For Copilot+ PC devices, new features will continue rolling out in phases to select devices and markets in the Windows Insider community.”
