Rachel Kolisi revealed the sweet gift that Liyema, the younger brother of her estranged husband, Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, gave her on her 35th birthday.

Siya Kolisi’s brother is the “most thoughtful gentleman.” Rachel Kolisi turned 35 earlier this week and she took to her Instagram Stories to reveal the gift Siya’s brother Liyema got her for her 35th birthday. She noted that Liyema is now a “working man” and he couldn’t join the birthday celebrations but he surpised her with a special cake and a gift later in the week. Take a look…
“@offlame_g is a working man now so (he) couldn’t join the birthday celebrations on Tuesday but came home to surprise me with this tonight. The most thoughtful gentleman,” she wrote.
SIYA KOLISI’S BROTHER PENS BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE TO RACHEL
To celebrate Rachel’s 35th, Liyema penned a touching birthday tribute to Rachel via an Instagram Story on 21 January. He expressed that Rachel has been a “mother figure” to him and that he loved her so much. Siya and Rachel adopted his siblings when they were younger.
“Words can not express how grateful I am to have you as a mother figure in my life. I love you so much, may God bless you with many more years and to many more memories @rachelkolisi,” he wrote.
Siya shares a mom with his siblings, who tragically passed away. His siblings were left in foster care after the death of their parents. Siya and Rachel have two kids together – Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7). The pair announced their divorce in October 2021 after eight years of marriage.
“This decision comes from a place of love, respect and understanding that this is the best path forward for both of us. While our relationship as a couple is changing, we remain great friends and committed partners in raising our children with the same love and care they’ve always known,” read the statement.
In December, Rachel took Siya’s sister Liphelo on her family vacation to Sydney, Australia. Ahead of the vacation, she revealed that Liyema could not join because he has started working and did not have leave.
