The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the grant payment dates for February. SASSA pays social grants to elderly people, children (under 18), disabled people and the war veterans’ grant. Here’s a breakdown of the payment dates for each beneficiary.

Older Persons – TUESDAY, 04 February 2025
Disability grant – WEDNESDAY, 05 February 2025
Children’s grant – THURSDAY, 06 February 2025
POSTBANK ANNOUNCES AVAILABLE PICK-UP LOCATIONS FOR BLACK CARDS
SASSA is transitioning from the use of the gold card to the new black card. Postbank has announced the retailers/stores where you can collect your black card. Remember to carry your I.D. document when collecting. These are the locations where you can find the black card for each province:

WHAT IF MY PROVINCE IS NOT ON THE LIST?
If your province is not on the list, do not worry. There are simple steps that you can follow to find your province.
FINDING YOUR PICK-UP LOCATION
If you want to find your pick-up location, follow these three simple steps:
- Dial *120*218*3# on your mobile phone to find a location to replace your card.Â
- Select Option 1.
- Choose the province you are located in.
After these steps, you will receive a list of locations/retailers issuing the black SASSA card. No payment will be required, and the card collection is free of charge.
