The January SRD grant payment dates, which start this week, have been confirmed by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).
Grant payments were made to other recipients earlier this month. Now SASSA has confirmed the dates for the rest of its beneficiaries. This is when those who receive the SRD grant will be paid this month.
JANUARY SRD GRANT PAYMENT DATES
The agency took to social media to inform SRD grant beneficiaries when they will start receiving payments for the month of January. According to their post on X, the confirmed dates for payments are from this week.
Recipients can expect to get payments in their bank accounts from Saturday, 25 January. The payments will continue until the following week on Friday, 31 January 2025.
PAYMENTS ONLY FOR THOSE APPROVED FOR THIS MONTH
SASSA made it clear in their statement that payments won’t be made to all SRD grant recipients. It said it’s only those beneficiaries who have been approved to receive payment for January that will be getting it.
“Payments (for clients who are approved for the month of January 2025) will be processed from 25 – 31 January 2025,” the statement read.
It also informed its beneficiaries that they can find out when they will be getting paid. This can be easily done by checking the SRD website. This is in order to know the exact date they will get payments.
“Clients are encouraged to view their status on the SRD website for the exact date that payment will reflect into their bank accounts,” it concluded.
