The Nedbank Cup round of 32 kicks-off this weekend and all three big teams are in action.
Cup holders Orlando Pirates have a tricky fixture which is against Richards Bay at the King Zwelithini Stadium. The match kick-off at 15:00 on Sunday afternoon.
Before the Nedbank Cup clash, the Buccaneers will play Royal AM in a Betway Premiership midweek. Having won the cup back to back, Pirates are favourites to win the tournament having already defended the MTN8 this season.
With the CAF Champions League and Betway Premiership still to play for, the Sea Robbers can win a treble. They have done it back to back in 2011 and 2012 but this might be their biggest chance to win big.
How are Chiefs and Sundowns’ Nedbank Cup chances looking?
Kaizer Chiefs have not tasted silverware in a decade and will look at the Nedbank as their only chance of breaking their dry spell. Under Nasreddine Nabi, Amakhosi have shown glimpses of brilliance but consistency has been their biggest problem this season. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00.
If Chiefs are to win the tournament, they need to defeat atleast Pirates or Sundowns or even both team. On Sunday evening, Amakhosi host Free Agent FC at the FNB Stadium.
Downs on the otherhand, are second favourites to win the Nedbank Cup. Having lost to Pirates last season in the final, the Brazilians will look to win their first cup final in two years. They play Golden Stars on Saturday evening at 18:00.
