However, in 2021, DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik’s private lives took a toll on his career after they were accused of sexual assault.

TshisaLIVErevealed in 2021 that DJ Fresh and Euphonik were pulled off air following allegations of sexual assault.

The DJs trended on social media after a woman alleged that she had been assaulted by both men on the same night.

The allegations sparked widespread outrage and debate on social media, with many calling for the DJs to be held accountable.

However, in a joint statement, DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik denied the allegations, stating that they were “false” and that they were “deeply saddened” that the issue of gender-based violence was being “weaponised” in this manner.

At the time, Primedia Broadcasting’s acting CEO, Geraint Crwys-Williams, revealed that the company had reached a “mutual decision for both DJs to come off the air to focus on addressing this matter.”

“947 and Primedia Broadcasting have engaged with DJ Fresh and Euphonik regarding the alleged sexual assault charges levelled against them.

“We take these matters extremely seriously and apply a rigorous, systematic internal process to assess them,” said Crwys-Williams.

However, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) eventually dropped the charges against the two DJs, marking the case as “Nolle Prosequi,” which means “no longer prosecute.”

Despite this, the incident had already led to significant consequences for the DJs, including their departure from their radio show on 947.

DJ FRESH RETURNS TO RADIO AFTER FOUR YEARS

However, after four years off the hook, DJ Fresh returns to 947.

Speaking to the media about his return, DJ Fresh said, “After nearly four years away, I’m thrilled to return to radio. It’s amazing to go back to doing something I love.”

The news comes months after former Metro FM broadcasterDJ Fresh confirmed to Zimojathat he will return to radio in April 2025.

Last year, he said, “I will be back in April; I can’t say where yet. I’m a radio-head through and through.”

Sikwane also revealed to the publication that he would be working on either a drive-time or a breakfast show.
