EFF leader Julius Malema has revealed that he and former party spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndloziare no longer close.

The tension between the two was speculated after former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu left the party last year in August. After the departure of Shivambu, other party members such as Dali Mpofu and Busisiwe Mkhwanazi also left to join the MK Party.

Malema breaks silence on Mbuyiseni Ndlozi

Ndlozi was rumoured to have exited the party after being absent from the Central Command Team. Last week, the 39-year-old politician stepped down from parliament.

In an interview on Power to Truth with JJ Tabane on eNCA, Malema said he never had a discussion with Mbuyiseni Ndlozi after he resigned from parliament.

“You saying Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has resigned from parliament. I got that when I was outside the country on holiday with my wife, when the SG sent it to me… So you can’t ask me why did he resign because I never had that discussion with him,” he said.

The EFF leader said he no longer shared a relationship with the party’s former spokesperson.

“I am not interested… our relationship ended that time, we are just members… I never spoke to Mbuyiseni Ndlozi before the NPA, I never spoke to Mbuyiseni Ndlozi after the NPA. So I don’t know his mind, as to how is he thinking,” Malema said.

When asked why Ndlozi was missing at the EFF’s third elective conference, Malema said Tabane should ask the former EFF spokesperson instead.

“I am not responsible for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, I am not his father, I am not his father! Where he was, what he was doing, I don’t know,” he said.

Should Ndlozi quit the EFF entirely?
