Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabifeels the next coming transfer windowns will be very important as he looks to transform his squad.

Since arriving at the clubin July, the 59-year-old Tunisian tactician has made a total of seven signings. Although the team has showed signs of improvement this season, they are still 12 points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

With the transfer window opening in two weeks, Nabi is eager to bring more players to Kaizer Chiefs.

”The most important ones will be how we do our mid-season, as well as the big transfer window in June. The next two windows will be important in terms of bringing players who are experienced and tactically ready for the level required at Kaizer Chiefs, to help speed up the process to get to where we want to be,” said Nabi.

Kaizer Chiefs looking at January transfer period

Nabi reckons the club needs a minimum of three windows, to make Chiefs competitive.

”I think you need a minimum of three windows to change a team, that is normal, people who understand football know that’s the realistic approach,” said the Amakhosi coach.

Nabi feels the Kaizer Chiefs had a decent transfer period before the start of the season. The likes of Gaston Sirino and Rushwin Dortley have impressed, imediately making an impact upon arrival.

”Honestly, before the game. I think we are in the right direction, after five months with this team, even though we have lost so many points recklessly. But I still think we’re headed in a good direction,” he said.
