Newly elected Minister Gayton Mckenzie has been pulling out all the stops to bring holiday joy to the locals, ensuring that they are getting the full festive experience this December.

This comes after the Patriotic Alliance leader decided to make another bulk purchase of tickets – this time for the highly controversial Chris Brown concert taking place in Johannesburg this coming weekend.

In a short clip, the minister took to social media, fueled by excitement, sharing that he has decided to purchase hundreds of tickets for locals to attend the event which is set to take place at the world-renowned FNB Stadium, which was built ahead of the 2010 Fifa World Cup.

In his address to his followers, the charismatic politician said: “You know I am not only the minister of Sport, Arts and Culture. I am the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, slash happiness.

“Tomorrow morning, we are giving away all these tickets to the Chris Brown concert.”

Gayton revealed that a whopping 1000 tickets had been purchased, and they would be taken to orphanages and those who desperately desire to attend the concert.

Ending his post he officially marked the beginning of the holiday season stating, “keDezemba! Happiness is open. December is open!”

“With the power invested in me by the President, December is open,” he excitingly announced.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Gayton has decided to show this act of generosity. Last month, he purchased 400 tickets to attend the concert of BET Award winner Makhadzi, which is set to take place at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on 21 December.

Meanwhile, those in the comments expressed concern about whether the Minister has been wasting taxpayers’ money.
