Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie could be heading back to the big screen together.
A producer has reportedly offered them an extraordinary sum to reunite for a film. This is despite their ongoing divorce drama.
BRAD AND ANGELINA REUNION ON SCREEN?
The couple, once known as ‘Brangelina,’ split in 2016 and have been embroiled in legal battles since 2019, according to Geo News.
However, their individual careers remain successful.
Pitt focuses on his latest project, while Jolie receives praise for her lead role in the musical Maria.
But could a hefty paycheck bring them back together? Producer Danny Rossner seems to think so.
He has offered the stars a “blank cheque” to star in his passion project.
This romance film has been in development for over two decades and is set during World War II.
THE ALLEGED BRAD AND ANGELINA FILM
The story revolves around Emmanuel Martinez. It is inspired by the real-life owner of the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, according to Hello Magazine.
Rossner envisions Pitt as Martinez and Jolie as his enigmatic mistress.
“This isn’t just any movie,” Rossner revealed. “There are torrid love scenes—intense, emotional moments. It’s not gratuitous, but the intimacy is key to the plot.”
THE BLANK CHEQUE FOR BRAD AND ANGELINA
Rossner has reportedly raised $60 million (around R1.1 billion) for the film.
He’s willing to pay Pitt up to R700 million and Jolie nearly R410 million. This is significantly above their usual rates, Cultura Colectiva.
He believes the ex-couple’s star power would guarantee success.
“Brad and Angelina are iconic,” Rossner said. “If they can set aside their differences, this film could be magical.”
MR AND MRS SMITH
Jolie and Pitt previously dazzled audiences in the 2005 hit Mr & Mrs Smith.
Their on-screen chemistry was undeniable, but would they be willing to rekindle that magic while still untangling their off-screen woes?
Legal battles between the pair remain ongoing.
Pitt has accused Jolie of unlawfully selling her stake in their shared vineyard. Meanwhile, Jolie has focused on her career and family, often reflecting on the difficulties of their split.
Despite this, Rossner remains optimistic.
“If we can achieve peace in the Middle East,” he quipped, “surely Brad and Angelina can come together for this.”
FANS CURIOUS ABOUT A BRAD AND ANGELINA REUNION
The prospect of seeing the Hollywood duo reunite on-screen has intrigued fans worldwide, including in South Africa.
Many remember their glamorous red-carpet appearances and their shared philanthropic work, such as supporting refugees.
Yet, the stakes are high for both actors.
Accepting the roles could bring professional acclaim but might also reopen old wounds.
One source close to the project commented, “It’s a bold move. But then again, boldness is what made Brad and Angelina stars.”
GLAMOUR AND GRIT
South Africans, with their love for dramatic storytelling and cinema, might find the film’s premise compelling.
A wartime romance set against the picturesque backdrop of Cannes could offer a blend of glamour and grit.
THE BRAD AND ANGELINA ALLURE
Pitt focuses on his latest project, while Jolie receives praise for her lead role in the musical Maria.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to make this film happen,” he said. “The world deserves to see these two legends together again.”
Will the allure of R1.1 billion be enough to end the stalemate? Only time will tell. For now, fans can only dream of Brangelina’s return.
