South African Minister Gayton McKenzie is bringing joy to some fans ahead of the much-anticipated Chris Brown and Makhadzi concert.
Just hours before the event, McKenzie took to social media to announce that he would be giving away free tickets to those who can’t afford them.
“Ke Dezemba is opening tomorrow! I will be giving away tickets here on social media to @MakhadziSA & @chrisbrown shows to people who cannot afford them,” he shared.
The Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture clarified that the tickets are not funded by government money but are a personal gesture to support local and international talent.
“This is not government money. Let’s have fun and support these superstars,” he added.
This is not the first time McKenzie has shown his commitment to supporting artists and initiatives aligned with his department.
