Mamelodi Sundowns are keen to tie down a veteran star with reported interest from hot Betway Premiership title rivals Orlando Pirates.

Sundowns to keep hold of veteran Lebusa with Orlando Pirates lurking

According to SoccerLaduma, Sundowns will extend Mosa Lebusa’s current deal which expires in June 2025. SuperSport are known to have an interest while Orlando Pirates made contact with the player during the June transfer window. The 32-year-old is a six-time Betway Premiership winner.

“They are looking at finalising everything before the New Year. They don’t want to wait until it’s too late. His (Lebusa) current contract is expiring in June next year and if they reach January without the new deal then he could be free to sign a pre-contract with a team of his choice; Sundowns are working on avoiding that and that’s why they want to finalise a new deal which is believed to be a two-year renewal until June 2027. So far, the talks between all the involved parties are going well and things are looking good,” said one source.

Sesane to France to help Montpellier survive relegation?

Soccer Laduma reported on interest in Thabiso Sesane from Ligue 1’s relegation strugglers Montpellier. The 24-year-old has become a pillar of the Pirates back four, appearing in all of their eight league encounters this term. In many ways, he’s become the first name of their team sheet. This consistency has earned him Bafana recognition and admirers abroad. If Montpellier firmed up their interest in the talented Bucs academy graduate with a solid offer, Pirates would have to examine it closely and carefully.

Dlamini is a wanted man

According to SoccerLaduma, Orlando Pirates want to offer 28-year-old midfield playmaker Kabelo Dlamini a new deal. With his current contract expiring in June 2025, The Sea Robbers are keen to tie the left-footer down to a two-year extension with an option for an additional year. Dlamini has become a reliable super-sub option for the Sea Robbers with his knack for scoring or creating goals in big games. He’s got a tally of 150 appearances in their famous jersey.
