Bradley Cross is the latest player from Kaizer Chiefs to be sidelined due to a serious injury he sustained during the match against Polokwane City on Sunday afternoon.
The Amakhosi lost the game 2-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, which has resulted in them dropping to ninth place in the Betway Premiership. Cross suffered a severe injury following a rough challenge from Polokwane’s Thabang Matuludi.
After the final whistle, Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabiwas understandably upset. He revealed that Cross could be sidelined for up to two months. “We should have had two penalties and I think my left-back Cross is out and there was no red card. It is unacceptable,” said Nabi.
“If I lose, I lose because I’m bad and that’s football but I don’t like to lose like that. I don’t like to lose because of the referees. I don’t like it and is not the first time.”
“Look at the action with Cross he may be out for two months. It is unacceptable,” he added.
