Kaizer Chiefs star to get sacked?

Kaizer Chiefs new boy Gaston Sirino started life well at Naturena but now he’s run into some disciplinary problems.

Sirino is on thin ice

According to Soccer-Laduma, Gaston Sirino has allegedly feigned injuries and refused to train with the Glamour Boys. The club will reportedly part ways with the Uruguayan if the issue persists.

“According to Siya sources, the midfielder allegedly fakes injuries and refuses to train. Only to return to action as matchday approaches. This pattern of behaviour has reportedly caused frustration within the Kaizer Chiefs camp. This is especially true with head coach Nasreddine Nabi and the club’s management, who expect a high level of professionalism. The 33-year-old’s actions have already led to disciplinary action, with the club making it clear that such behaviour cannot continue. Although there is a sense of understanding regarding the pressures that players face, Sirino’s conduct has been deemed unacceptable, and it has begun to affect his standing within the squad.”

“While Chiefs management is reportedly keen to give the former Mamelodi Sundowns man a chance to change, insiders have warned that if his behaviour persists, the club could be forced to take drastic measures, including the potential termination of his contract. Despite the challenges, there remains a glimmer of hope that Sirino can turn things around, given his undeniable ability on the pitch. However, his future at Chiefs is now hanging in the balance as the club evaluates his commitment to the team and his professionalism,” they added.

Kaizer Chiefs plan for Polokwane

Amakhosi must do without suspended right-back Reeve Frosler after his recent red card against Richards Bay so Dillan Solomons should continue to deputise. Angolan star Miguel returns after suspension to boost Nasreddine Nabi’s options at the back. Controversy surrounds Gaston Sirino’s situation at the club with the Uruguayan allegedly refusing to train and even feigning injury. With those distractions, it wouldn’t be a massive surprise to see him taken out of the firing line. Ashley du Preez and Wandile Duba, goal-scorers against Royal AM, should retain their places.
