A TikToker posted a video on 4 December 2024 showing how a springbok broke into her home to the delight of many on the platform.
The short clip, which has already garnered thousands of views, led most South Africans to bring a comedic side to the woman’s experience. Most used the chance to come up with various hilarious rugby jokes, mentioning Springboks players like Siya Kolisi and Eben Etzebeth, reported Briefly News on 5 December 2024.
SPRINGBOK BREAKS INTO WOMAN’S HOME
The TikTok video showed a young springbok freely walking around where the woman was staying after it broke in in the middle of the night. According to the caption, she said she was at a nature estate. The animal even left its droppings behind before making an escape through the window.
HILARIOUS REACTION FROM SOUTH AFRICANS
In pure South African style, the whole incident was turned into a joke. Despite a few expressing sympathy for the woman and asking her if she was okay, many choose to share rugby jokes involving players from our national team.
Most of those who commented on the clip mentioned the name of Springboks Captain Siya Kolisi. They asked in their comments why Siya broke into the woman’s home. They commented: “Siya Kolisi had no right,” “ Siya Kolisi why?” “Kolisi bru” and “So Siya Kolisi broke into your house.”
Siya wasn’t the only Bok though mentioned in the jokes. His buddy and teammate Eben Etzebeth was also included in the banter. Some of them wrote: “What is Eben doing there?” Of course the jokes wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Eben’s nickname, Elizabedi. The commenters said: “Elizabedi Elizabedi” and “Hawu Elizabedi.”
Some went as far as mentioning Siya’s estranged wife Rachel Kolisi, commenting that someone should call her.
Meanwhile, the Springboks have been living their best life. The South African reported on the fancy rides some of them shared on social media. They also showed us captivating pictures of Siya and Eben’s beautiful mansions.
