7de Laan star Diaan Lawrenson who is known for her role as Paula van der Lecq has been promoted to CEO position at AFDA Film School.

TVSAconfirms that the former 7de LaanactressDiaan Lawrenson was appointed as CEO of AFDA Film School, five and a half years after she became Dean.
Lawrenson reveals in a statement: “As CEO, my role will contribute to steering the growth and evolution of our institution. Ensuring its continued relevance and impact within the creative economy. This includes encouraging the development of our student body and amplifying the contributions of our alumni to the industries.”
The film school revealsthat Lawrenson began lecturing at AFDA in 2016 and was appointed as Dean of the Cape Town campus in early 2019.
The award-winning thespian is also the co-founder of the award-winning production company, Jester Productions.
Her LinkedINreveals that she graduated in 2023 with a Master’s in Fine Arts, Cum Laude in Motion Pictures.

Lawrenson has also starred in Mooi Rivier, Sink, Jou Romeo, Raaisel Kind, Table Manners and many more.
She’s also worked as a host of several television shows, feature films, short films, music videos and theatre productions.
The award-winning actress also co-founded an award-wining production company called Jester Productions.
Her production company has been responsible for numerous productions in theatre, film and television, to name a few.
