MacBeth Sibaya is one of the most underrated midfielders to emerge from South Africa.
He made a name for himself as a hard-tackling, dreadlocked defensive midfielder at Jomo Cosmos. Sibaya went on to represent Bafana Bafanaon 62 occasions and is one of the few South Africans to have played in two different World Cups, featuring in the 2002 and 2010 editions.

After three years with Cosmos, the former midfielder joined the Norwegian side of Rosenborg. After just one year, he made a switch to the Russian team Rubin Kazan.
In Russia, MacBeth Sibaya truly flourished in his career. He won the Russian Premier League twice and participated in the UEFA Champions League, becoming one of the few South Africans to do so. After nine years in Europe,
MacBeth returned home and joined Moroka Swallows. Two seasons later, the Bafana legend hung up his boots and transitioned into coaching.
Since retiring, he has been involved in football across various capacities. In 2013, he joined SuperSport United as an analyst, a position he held until 2015.
Following that, MacBeth Sibaya took on a managerial role with the SuperSport United Reserves before leaving in 2018. However, he was appointed as the U19 manager at the KZN Football Academy three years later. In 2022, he reportedly joined the technical team of the Venda Football Academy.
It appears that the former midfielder has left football entirely, as he has now ventured into farming. MacBeth Sibaya and his wife, Nicky, have been investing heavily in agriculture, according to Highway Mail.
