Kaizer Chiefswinger Wandile Duba has made a bold promise ahead of Amakhosi’s Nedbank Cup clash with Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 20-year-old says the players will deliver the cup following their disappointinf 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy on Saturday night. Duba scored his fifth goal of the season, having recently returned from injury. He scored Chiefs’ opening goal against Galaxy but an own goal from Given Msimango cancelled out his opener to force a draw.

“I had to score today,” Duba told SuperSport TV after the match.
“Mistakes happen. We will fix it next game and I will make sure when I cross again, someone scores. We will fix it at training.
“I had to put my body on the line to get the goal to at least get the three points because we needed it a lot especially after the results from the games that we come from. Today we needed the win,” he said.

“The mentality has changed, it’s just that we lose concentration during the game and make small mistakes that we need to fix.
“The performance of today will give us a bit of confidence because of who we’re playing against next week, the biggest in this league, so…but even the draw will give us a bit of confidence for the next game.”
Duba is confident that Chiefs can beat Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final. The 20-year-old promised to deliver the title to the fans.
“Our fans know that we are trying and I’m sure they also get tired [of the winless runs] and step-by-step we will fix it.
“Nedbank, we promise, we will deliver it for them.”
